We check the sweepstakes and social casinos that keep popping up — who actually runs them, whether their claims hold up, and what their own fine print says.

The Washington Headline
All eight sites ban Washington players in their own terms. Washington treats sweepstakes casinos as illegal gambling, and every operator on this board — even the big, real ones — excludes WA in writing. If a site is happy to take a Washington player's money while its fine print bans Washington, that tells you everything about whose side the fine print is on.
The Board — First Eight Checks
Verdicts are about whether the operation is what it claims to be — never a promise that playing is safe or smart. Evidence highlights shown; checks re-run over time.

The brand is dead. VGW stopped coin sales on August 3, 2026, ended play on August 24, and closed redemptions permanently on September 14, 2026.
The domain now redirects to a different casino (LuckyLand Casino, run by Beells Ltd of Malta) — and old Slots balances did not transfer.
Anything still advertising "LuckyLand Slots" play or bonuses today is trading on a dead brand's name. Treat it as a fake until proven otherwise.

The Washington case: a federal jury in Washington found against High 5's coin model, and the company agreed to pay $12M–$30M back to WA players who bought coins between 2014 and 2022. Claims are open until January 4, 2027.
Claims that the sweeps site is "regulated by the NJ DGE" do not hold up — that license belongs to High 5's separate real-money game-supplier business.
Real, long-running US operator with public, versioned rules — the caution here is its legal record and its cash-out terms, not its existence.

New York's Attorney General took an $8 million settlement from VGW in September 2026, calling its platforms illegal gambling in NY. Florida's AG is suing to shut them down.
The Malta license Chumba shows is real — but it is a Malta promotional-games license, not a US gambling license.
Washington trap: purchases by WA players are voided and refunded minus an admin fee of up to 10% (their terms, clause 3.2).
Sweeps Coins expire 60 days after your last login, and payouts over $2,000 trigger enhanced ID and source-of-funds checks.

The BBB closed its pattern-of-complaints case in October 2026 as "Failed to Respond." The biggest complaint theme: the free mail-in entries — the thing that makes the model legal — never getting credited.
Florida's AG sued in August 2026 alleging illegal gambling; the case is pending.
Its terms don't state the cash-out minimum and let the operator charge discretionary fees. Its Terms and Privacy Policy even list two different Cyprus addresses.
ID is demanded at registration, not just at cash-out — know that before your first purchase.

Named explicitly in New York's $8M VGW settlement (September 2026). AG lawsuits in Kentucky and Florida are still pending.
Its Malta MGA license is genuine — and it is not a US license of any kind.
On money terms alone it is the fairest of the eight: 1x playthrough, $50 minimum, no redemption fees. The caution is legal, not financial.
Washington gets no access at all — not even free Gold Coin play.

Arizona's Department of Gaming issued a cease-and-desist in August 2025; Pulsz complied and left the state. It has also paid roughly $4.9M in Kentucky class-action settlements and is named in Baltimore's 2026 suit.
Redemption minimums are not fixed in its public terms — the gift-card floor shows as 10, 25, or 50 SC depending on where you read.
BBB complaint theme for its US entity (116 complaints): free mail-in entries not credited.

One of 26 platforms hit in the New York AG's June 2025 cease-and-desist sweep — and the pressure hasn't stopped: Tennessee's AG list (Dec 2025), Illinois' 2026 wave, and a defendant spot in Baltimore's March 2026 consumer-protection suit.
Operator identity is clean and consistent across its terms, about page, and blog — this is a real company, not a phantom.

Rebranded from Fortune Coins in April 2026 with accounts intact — the operator, Blazesoft, is identifiable and its rules are public and current.
But its own Sweeps Rules let it impose or change playthrough "at our sole discretion," and verification can take up to a month with no promised payout deadline.
ID is demanded even before a free mail-in entry is credited. Named (as Blazesoft) in Baltimore's 2026 suit; Maryland issued it a cease-and-desist in January 2025.
🚨 Clone Watch — Fake Sites Riding Real Names
Documented October 2026: lookalike domains impersonating Chumba (chumbaasino.com, chumbacassino.com, chumbacasinoo.com) and High 5 (high5casion.com, high5caino.com, high5casin.com, high5casnio.com) — all registered the same week, all running the same scam: a fake crypto casino that lets you "win," then demands a verification deposit before you can withdraw. That deposit is the theft. A real casino never charges you to release your own winnings. Type addresses yourself; never tap a casino link from a social-media ad without checking the spelling twice. Lookalikes have also been flagged around McLuck (mcluck-us-casino.com).
How We Check
Every site faces the same five gates. A verdict is only as good as its evidence — and verdicts are dated, because operators change.
1 · Operator Identity
Legal company name, where it's registered, real address — and whether the name matches across the site, terms, and privacy policy.
2 · License Claims
Social, sweepstakes, or licensed gambling? Are the rules public — and do license claims survive a check?
3 · Money In, Money Out
Purchase pressure, cash-out minimums, playthrough, fees, and when ID is demanded — at sign-up, or only when you try to leave with money.
4 · Regulator Record
Lawsuits, AG actions, cease-and-desists, market exits, and complaint patterns that repeat from strangers.
5 · WA Status & Clones
Does it allow Washington players? What's the one official domain — and which fakes are riding its name?
For Operators
Checks are free, and every site faces the same checklist. A verdict can never be bought. Once this board has readers, operators that pass will be able to pay for one thing only: displaying a dated Verified badge with an enhanced factual profile and quarterly re-verification to keep it. Fail a re-check and the badge is revoked — publicly, with the reason posted here.
